Lastly, the patient will undergo the placement of their artificial teeth, which may be dental crowns or implant-supported dentures. Both options may require two separate appointments, one for the impressions and the second for the actual placement.

Because the dental implant process is lengthy and requires a time commitment and patience, it is important that potential patients understand what is required. The oral surgeon will require an evaluation and consultation, in which the timeline, requirements and expectations are discussed.
